Stride Canvassing Mobile App Privacy Policy
Effective August 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Stride Canvassing, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Stride,” “we,” or “us”), handles personal information in the Stride mobile app (the “App”).
Canvassers use the App on behalf of a political campaign (a “Campaign”). Voter information shown or entered in the App belongs to the Campaign; Stride processes it only on the Campaign’s instructions and does not use it for any purpose of its own.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
We collect your name and email address and the credentials used to sign in, which may include passwords, one-time codes, or similar authentication data.
Location information
The App uses your device’s location to show your position on the map and to share it with other canvassers on your team. You may decline the location permission and still use the App, and location information is not used for any other purpose.
Canvassing activity
When you record a visit, we collect its outcome and any details you enter, such as a voter’s level of support, contact information, and notes. These records belong to the Campaign.
Technical data
We maintain records of the emails we send you, such as sign-in codes, and standard server logs for security and reliability.
2. How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- provide, maintain, and secure the App;
- send you sign-in codes and other service messages;
- monitor for misuse, fraud, and security incidents; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. How We Share Information
We use service providers to operate the App, such as cloud hosting, email delivery, and mapping. Each of these service providers may process personal information only as needed to provide its service to us and not for its own purposes.
We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Stride or others. If Stride is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or one at least as protective.
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
4. Data Retention
We delete a Campaign’s canvassing records within 90 days after the election day to which the Campaign’s service relates, or sooner upon the Campaign’s request. You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at the address below. We may retain limited records as required by law or for security purposes.
5. Security
We protect personal information with technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or stored by the App.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by emailing us at the address below, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising a right. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children. Users must be at least 16 years of age, and Campaigns are responsible for obtaining any consent required by law for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page. If we make material changes, we will provide notice before they take effect.
